Meet Our Founders
Senior Broker/Founder
Joe DeGuardia
Joe grew up in Westchester, NY to a family of small business owners. Very early on, Joe learned the power of hard work and building a business. Growing up, Joe had an affinity for competition, playing baseball, football, basketball, chess & any other sports he could. Joe went to St. Lawrence University where he played baseball and football and majored in Statistics and Business. After graduating in 2019, Joe accepted a position with the FDIC as a Financial Institution Specialist. After 2 years there, Joe quickly realized he wanted to continue to compete in the business arena and started a fitness business in 2021, followed by becoming a real estate agent and in 2022 found an opportunity in the financial services industry. Joe started in the industry part-time. Replacing his income at the FDIC in the first year, he went full-time in the business and in his first 3 years became one of the top brokers at his firm with over 80,000 licensed representatives. Joe made the decision to start Invictus Financial Solutions with his fianceé Lauren to achieve a bigger vision and better equip his team to achieve their mission.
Senior Broker & Director of Expansion
Lauren Bernarducci
Lauren grew up in Westchester County, NY to two parents who were teachers. When it came time to pick a career path, Lauren went into the communications field majoring in communications with a focus in advertising and public relations from SUNY Cortland. After college, Lauren took a job in Uber Eats corporate offices as an account manager, then being promoted to account representative. Lauren wanted to change her path and be in a position where she could really help people, which led her to return to school to get her master’s degree in childhood education and special education. She was a special education teacher for 6 years and while loving the educator role, realized that she was missing the freedom and felt stuck. After meeting her fiancee, Joe, Lauren started working part-time with him in the financial service industry. After seeing a massive surge in their business, she realized that this was an opportunity to still educate and help people in a bit of a different way. Since leaving teaching, Lauren and Joe made the decision to start Invictus Financial Solutions to better educate as many people as possible.
